Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist
Welcome and thank you for clicking on my profile.
My name is Daniel Sylvester and I am a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist in my final year of training, offering low-cost counselling.
My formal training began in 2010 when I was working full time in the field of crisis management. Before training at CCPE, I had a keen interest in personal development and was always looking at ways I could improve and better understand myself. The journey began with self-help books on personal development to attending seminars and workshops, encompassing NLP trainings, hypnotherapy, spiritual awakening weekends, mindfulness and public speaking clubs. All these experiences have led me to finding my true path of becoming a Psychotherapist and helping clients to find their true path.
How I work
There are numerous modalities of working with clients and I chose the Transpersonal because it encompasses all the approaches, so how we work together will be as unique as you are!
There will be an initial assessment to establish if we can work together.
The 1st session will be to review how we are going to work together, set objectives, review points and create a basic treatment plan.
We will meet each week at the same time at the same location and I will endeavour to book the same room for our sessions.
At each milestone you can choose to continue therapy or we can work towards a safe and mutual ending.
Appointments & Fees
To make an appointment or for details of fees please email me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note all sessions are 50 minutes long.
Areas of practice / Special Interests
I work with addiction and trauma, which may involve bereavement or loss.
If you have specific requirements you are welcome to email me.
About Transpersonal Psychotherapy
The word “transpersonal” is derived from the Latin “trans”, (meaning beyond and through) and “persona”, (meaning mask or personality).
Transpersonal psychotherapy is an integrative approach with a holistic and spiritual dimension, which looks at the whole person. A transpersonal therapist may use a variety of treatment methods and approaches ranging from Psychoanalysis, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to Gestalt. All these approaches and more can be combined with the Transpersonal to help promote wellbeing. It is the goal of the psychotherapeutic relationship to foster a higher human development and a deepening integration and understanding of one’s sense of connectedness whether it is with the self, relationships, nature or the universe.
The psychotherapeutic relationship is about building and expanding on the individual’s qualities, their spirituality and their self-development. It is all too easy for a person to lose sight of their purpose or vision for them self. This could be things they used to look forward to, could also be what enabled them to have a restful night’s sleep and the sense of satisfaction and fulfilment. Transpersonal therapy can help an individual come to terms with these challenges and empower them to develop and grow as a person.
