Your Gateway To Weight Loss
The Natural Gateway Clinic is running a weekly group which is aimed at helping you to tackle the issues around emotional eating. This will help you to put an end to comfort eating and yo-yo dieting.
The group will provide a friendly, supportive environment in which to look at your relationship with food. Included in this is a weekly weigh-in to chart your weight loss. Every week there will be a group discussion on the various reasons why we struggle to lose weight.
This group will be run by Jackie Becker, a counsellor, who has over many years developed a special interest in understanding people's struggles with food and dieting. During that time she has helped people to take the first steps to long term weight control.
For information about the group call the clinic on 0208 953 5144
Cost: £6 per week.
Special offer: £4 for first two weeks.
Finding the missing ingredient…..
It seems that the missing ingredient in our quest to lose weight is ourselves. In other words we know about healthy eating, we know about the benefits of exercise, but what gets missed out time and again is that we also have to know about ourselves. Why do we eat when we are not physically hungry? Why do we eat in an uncontrolled way? Why do we overeat? Why, when we want to lose weight so badly, do we fail? And why does a slimmer you seem so elusive?
These are all important questions, and maybe you have more questions of your own that need answering so that you CAN take control of your eating. Our weekly weight loss group is aimed at looking at all these weighty issues. Above all, we want to get you to think about your own relationship to food and eating, and your relationship to your body. We want you to find within yourselves the tools you need to take control over the way in which you approach food. We want the missing ingredient, which is you, to start taking control and taking care of yourselves.
When you learn to eat with your hunger and stop when you are full you can undo years of chaotic eating. It isn't magic and it may not happen overnight, it takes work. But once you've got the hang of it, it feels very different from the way you've eaten before.
We want to put an end to….
the cycle of dieting, losing weight, the inevitable straying from the diet, feeling bad about yourself, which leads to more chaotic eating, putting on weight and feeling bad about yourself.
This all too familiar cycle feels self-defeating, un-empowering and above all incredibly painful.
So come along and discover a new perspective on losing weight.
