Facial Acupuncture

Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is a safe and natural method for reducing signs of stress and ageing without having to resort to botox or invasive, painful and expensive surgery.

Although only recently has it gained public attention, Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture has actually been around for centuries. In China, the Sung Dynasty (960-1270AD), empresses and concubines of emperors used Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture.

How does it work?
Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture has the following effects:
" Increases the flow of Oxygen and nutrients to the face
" Brings blood to the face and improves circulation
" Stimulates the lymphatic system to drain toxins
" Improves facial muscle tone to reduce lines and wrinkles
" Increases collagen production and skin fibres are strengthened

The skin is stimulated by the insertion of fine needles under the skin. These are inserted following the application of a topical anaesthetic cream to desensitise the area.
A 'micro trauma' is created which initiates the skin to repair itself and rejuvenate the local area.
Traditional acupuncture points on the body are also stimulated, enhancing the health and well being of the whole body.

Following needle removal, the final stage of the process is a facial massage. This relaxes and lifts the skin.

Positive results are usually visible after one session. The patient's skin will look and feel tighter with a reduction of fine lines. Their complexion will appear brighter with a healthy glow.

A course of Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture, consisting of six to 12 consecutive weekly sessions, is recommended for best results. Intermittent maintenance sessions can prolong the results for several years.
